Mayor Adrian Gonzalez and Weslaco Fire Chief Antonio Lopez expressed appreciation towards First Baptist Church for their altruistic service to the City of Weslaco and its residents.

For 16 years, First Baptist Church has been a reliable shelter during times of crisis, from Hurricane Dolly to subsequent hurricanes, freezes, and even the COVID-19 pandemic.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Pastor Steven Parker for his exemplary leadership and to all the volunteers at First Baptist Church for their dedicated support of the residents of Weslaco.
