Drainage improvements continue in the City of Weslaco in the Las Brisas/ Chapa community. The project consists of widening and regrading 7,000 ft of ditch, constructing 2,000 ft of new ditch, installing new and larger roadway culvert crossings, reconstructing roadways at culvert crossings, installing 6,000 linear feet of storm sewer system, installing two irrigation aerials crossing the ditch, relocating utilities, and two rdfs that cover 40 acres will hold stormwater and help many homes during flooding in the area.
