In July 2021, Officer Martinez responded to a crash involving a motorcyclist and another vehicle. The motorcyclist suffered a major injury, and because of Officer Martinez’s quick thinking, he applied a tourniquet and instructed other officers to call paramedics. The ER doctor who treated the injured motorcyclist credited Officer Martinez with saving the motorcyclist’s life!
