On Tuesday, July 19, Mayor David Suarez and the Weslaco City Commission presented a proclamation to Christine Warren for her service on the Weslaco Public Library Advisory Board for the past 16 years!

Congratulations to Mrs. Warren and thank you for inspiring both a love of reading and learning throughout the Weslaco community.

In addition to serving our community on the library advisory board, Mrs. Warren taught English at Weslaco High School for 29 years, from 1974 to 2003, and inspired both a love of reading and learning in her students and colleagues.

Mrs. Warren served our local library by first joining the Friends of the Weslaco Public Library in 1998, and then served as member and president of the Weslaco Public Library Advisory Board.
